Hi, I'm Derek Heppe.  I am a full time REALTOR &  Broker In Charge of Ace Realty.  Nothing I do is as important as making sure my clients are satisfied with the decisions they make regarding Real Estate.  In order to better serve my clients, I've taken the time to earn some of the designations the National Association Of Realtors has to offer.  I'm a Certified Residential Specialist. I help buyers and sellers with all of their Real Estate needs in the Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas of South Carolina.  Not that it's all that important, but to show that I take my job seriously...prior to opening Ace Realty, in 2009, 2010 & 2011, I was REMAX Beach & Country's top selling agent various months and made a lot of new friends along the way.  I take pride in helping people whether buying or selling a home or property.  Let me go to work for you.

I grew up in a beautiful area of the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania.  At a very young age I began helping my father in construction- building homes, log homes and additions. By the age of 16, my father made me a partner in his company and we worked together for quite some time.  At age 21, I formed my own construction company, DNA Builders and specialized in Log Home building.  During this time period, there were a number of foreclosed homes that began to come on the market in our area.  This is when I became interested in Real Estate.  We had a few really bad winters and many of the foreclosed homes needed a lot of work because of ice dams that formed on the roofs that caused water damage.  As a builder, I began investing in foreclosures & fixing them up for resale.  I enjoyed restoring properties, making money and helping communities become more attractive in the process.
   
Although I loved the area...as a very active, outdoor person, I desired to live in a warmer climate closer to the beach.  So I moved to Myrtle Beach. At first, it was just going to be for visit, but I fell in love with the area and never left!  I earned my SC Home Builders License and built a couple homes in Little River(just North of North Myrtle Beach).  It was at that time that I decided to go into Real Estate to sell my properties.  But my passion for Real Estate took root and I then became a full time Realtor with RE/MAX and now Ace Realty, and haven't looked back since. I absolutely love my job!  It's a truly satisfying feeling being able to help people find the perfect property or to help a seller who really needs or wants to move.  My experience as a builder has been a real asset because I am able to quickly identify a properties strengths and recognize potential problems and help create solutions for those issues.
