Green Building and Certification
Building a Green Home is easier then some may think. Many Home
Builders today implement many green practices but lack the
certification or haven't had their homes rated by a qualified evaluator.
Why should builders construct green homes or use as many sustainable
features as possible?
As more people become aware of environmental issues, more home buyers
are requesting green homes. They are even willing to pay a higher price
knowing that in the long run they will save money on utilities and be
helping the environment at the same time. Additionally, there are tax
credits and loan programs that allow buyers to qualify for a higher mortgage
if they buy a green home.
You will find a wealth of information on this page and numerous links to
Green resources.
I look forward to bringing builders, buyers and sellers together to meet our common goal of leading a greener lifestyle. Contact me if you fall into one of these categories. I will be glad to assist you in whatever way I can.
